  Barcelona, rain, a bookshop, a cemetery of forgotten books — it is exactly as delicious as that sounds and about a chapter too pleased with itself. Winter, heating right up, hot chocolate, which is the correct way to take it.

  I worked one summer in a kitchen and this is exactly the noise. Read it fast, standing up, eating cold pasta out of the pan. Dated and pleased with itself in places, and still the best thing written about the back of house.
