IBDB is a place for readers to keep their shelves and share their taste. It works when everyone treats it like the good small bookshop it wants to be.

• No spam. Not in reviews, not in lists, not anywhere.
• No harassment. Disagree with a review, never with the person who wrote it.
• No content that infringes someone else's rights.

We may hide or remove anything that crosses those lines. Repeat offenders lose their library card.

You own what you write here: your reviews, your lists, your bio. Posting gives us permission to display it on IBDB, and that is the only licence we take.

Delete any of it whenever you like. You can also ask us to delete the whole account, and we will.

Book metadata, covers, and descriptions come from Google Books and remain the property of their respective rights holders. We display them; we do not claim them.

IBDB is young. Pages will move, features will change, and these terms will grow into a proper document as the moderation work lands. When something meaningful changes we will say so in the changelog, not bury it.
