Reader’s Note

Funny about depression without letting you off, which almost nobody manages. I stayed in the bath until the water went cold and finished it in a towel on the landing. The dog chapters! I laughed and then had a sit down.

A warm hand on the shoulder and also a scalpel. She takes the Black Dog for a walk and makes you laugh at it; I cried on the 47 bus and did not care who saw.10 out of 10@an_ordinary_tuesday

Barcelona, rain, a bookshop, a cemetery of forgotten books — it is exactly as delicious as that sounds and about a chapter too pleased with itself. Winter, heating right up, hot chocolate, which is the correct way to take it.8 out of 10The Shadow of the Wind
