Reader’s Note
9 out of 10
Third time, first since 2019. I had completely misplaced where the mists come in — I had it in the wrong book entirely. The heist assembling is still the best thing he's done and Kelsier still carries the whole first half.

Five. Everyone loses their minds over this and I just find it tidy. The heist is decent! Then the magic gets explained at me for an hour and nobody I care about stays dead at any real cost.5 out of 10@grimdarkgareth

genuinely might finish this one? I'm nearly at the end, which for me is unheard of. Vin is great. and the magic system makes actual sense, which I did not expect from a book with this many made-up words in it9 out of 10@three_chapters_in

Second go, first since 2015. Half of it has fallen over in replication since — I kept checking chapters against my phone as I read, which is a strange way to spend an evening. The material on how badly we remember pain has held.7 out of 10Thinking, Fast and Slow
