Perfect commute book because it doesn't mind being interrupted — you can lose a page at Maidenhead and pick it up again without any real loss. I laughed out loud twice, which on a Tuesday morning carriage counts as a public disturbance.

(Third copy. I keep lending them out and they never come back.) Still funny in the bath, still the one I give to non-readers.8 out of 10@tinyapartmentbigtbr

Arthur Dent's house is demolished on the same morning as the Earth. He travels with Ford Prefect, Zaphod Beeblebrox and Trillian. A computer gives an answer to a question nobody has.7 out of 10@commuterfiction

Read a novel about the end of the world on public transport, surrounded by strangers coughing, and I'd do it again! The Travelling Symphony in the snow. Survival is insufficient, yes, fine, put it on a caravan — it worked on me.9 out of 10Station Eleven
