Six weeks in a queue for a twist that someone had spoiled for me at work in the second week of waiting. Not the book's fault. Everything after that is, though.

Because once you know, there is nothing else in it. I kept going hoping there'd be a second layer and there isn't one; it's a very long corridor with a door at the end and I'd already been told what was behind the door. The therapist is not a person, he's a delivery mechanism. The diary bits are the only sections with any life in them and they exist purely to set up the trick.

I finished it in five days at 1.75x, which tells you how much attention it needed, and I renewed nothing and rejoined nothing.

Four. My friend who spoiled it swears it's brilliant if you go in clean and honestly she might be right, so knock this up a point if you've somehow avoided hearing about it, which at this stage would be impressive.
